Chapter 1 (Help)

BLUE LOTUS EMPIRE RESORT

The lawn of the resort was beautifully decorated for the wedding of Ankit Singhania, one of the best businessman. He was going to marry his college love, Miss Divya Tripathi. Today, many big and small businessmen are going to attend his wedding.

The King of Rajasthan and the best businessman, Mr, Adhrit Pratap singh and his family is also going to attend his wedding because they are very good buisness partners.

Here in a room of the same resort, a girl with a chubby body was sitting on the couch with her laptop on her lap.. She wore a beautiful baby pink coloured anarkali, with matching earrings and jutti.

She is none other than, our female lead, PRABHNOOR KAUR, a doctor by profession. She is here on  a solo trip to freshen up her mind. After one month, she is going to start her final year of MBBS. And now she took a holiday of entire month to relax and enjoy. She came to Rajasthan yesterday, and planned to spend atleast a week here.

She was searching some sites to visit in Rajasthan. When she was finding the sites, her attention was caught by a news headline.

She clicked the headline and a video started playing:

In the video

“KING ISSUES FIERCE WARNING: ‘Any Man Who Violates a Woman’s Dignity Shall Face the Crown’s Wrath:

The courtyard was packed — ministers, soldiers, nobles, and common citizens standing in tense silence.

The king Adhrit Pratap Singh walked onto the high balcony, dressed in black royal armor, his cape dragging like a shadow behind him.

His jaw was clenched.

His eyes — sharp enough to make even seasoned warriors lower their gaze.

He raised one hand, and the entire kingdom fell silent.

The king’s voice echoed through the open square, deep and merciless.

He started, “In this kingdom, women walk with dignity. They laugh without fear.

They breathe without looking over their shoulder.

That is not a privilege.

That is their right.”

He leaned forward slightly, gaze sweeping the crowd with an icy calm.

“But some men…some insects hiding behind screens and shadows…believe they can violate that right.”

The crowd murmured anxiously.

The king raised his voice — not shouting, but powerful enough to silence stone.

He continued," Let my words carve themselves into your bones:

If you harass a woman,

if you touch her without permission,

if you dare take her photographs without her consent—

I will be the one you answer to.”

He paused, letting the weight of the threat settle.

“And I do not deal with such filth like a ruler.

I deal with them like a man who protects his own.”

A hush spread across the courtyard.

His voice turning cold,“I will not tolerate fear in the eyes of the women of my kingdom. Not while I sit on this throne.

Not while my blood runs warm.”

He took a step back, chin high.

“So listen carefully:

If any girl — noble or common — comes to me with a complaint,

I will not ask for evidence.

I will ask for a name.”

He let the sentence slice through the air.

“And once I have that name…

there will be no trial.

Only consequences.”

The king placed his hand on the railing, voice dropping to a quiet, lethal tone.

“Respect every girl in this kingdom…

or fear the king who protects them.”

He turned and walked away, leaving behind a kingdom frozen in awe — and terror.

Then a reporter started speaking with a mike in his hand,

"Public reaction has been overwhelmingly supportive, with thousands praising the King’s stance on women’s safety and his zero-tolerance policy. Women’s rights organizations have also applauded the speech, calling it “a defining moment for the kingdom.”

"As of now, palace officials confirm that additional measures will soon be implemented to ensure stricter surveillance, faster reporting systems, and harsher penalties for offenders.

The message from the throne is clear:

"The dignity of every woman is protected by the Crown — and the King himself stands guard."

After this was a picture of the king with his horse.

For a moment she got lost in the picture, but cam to her senses when her finger of the hand got accidently dipped in the hot coffee,"Ahh!"

She screeched and immediately put her finger in her mouth. She quickly shut down her laptop and thought," What was I doing? Why was I oogling at his photo? Aaah what happened to me? I need to go out for some fresh air."

She took her duppatta and her tote bag and went outside her room. She went to the elevator.

The elevator doors slide shut with a soft thud.

Only three people inside: Prabhnoor, Devanshi and a man in his 40s leaning casually against the panel

Prabhnoor stands beside Devanshi, scrolling on her own mobile. Something in her peripheral vision feels off. The man’s phone isn’t pointed at the floor… it’s angled toward Devanshi’s legs.

A faint click sound. Then another.

Prabhnoor's eyes snap sideways.

Prabhnoor whispered sharply,“Hey… don’t react. Just stand still.”

Devanshi frowns. “What? Why?”

Prabhnoor tilts her head slightly—just enough to see the man’s fingers tapping the shutter again.

Prabhnoor spoke in a low voice,"He’s taking your pictures.”

Devanshi freezes, shock flashing across her face. The man continues pretending to scroll.

Prabhnoor steps forward, her voice suddenly loud and firm.

Prabhnoor said in a very polite tone,“Excuse me, sir. Can you show me your phone?”

The man stiffens. “Why would I do that?”

Prabhnoor replied “Because I heard your camera. And I saw where it was pointed.”

Devanshi moves beside her, now angry and shaking.

Devanshi warned him,“Delete whatever yu clicked. Right now.”

The man smirks, tries to hide his phone behind his jacket. “You girls are imagining things. Don’t create drama.”

Prabhnoor doesn't wait. She lunges.

Before the man reacts, she snatches the phone from his hand in one swift movement.

The man shouted, “Hey! What are you doing?! Give it back!”

Prabhnoor backs away, gripping the phone tightly.

Prabhnoor smirked,“So you did take something. Thanks for confirming.”

The elevator dings.

Doors open.

Prabhnoor grabs Devanshi’s wrist.

Prabhnoor said loudly," RUN!!!"

They sprint out into the ground floor. The man shouts behind them:

That man yelled,“Stop! Give me back my phone!”

Prabhnoor doesn’t look back.

The elevator doors close again behind the yelling man.

The elevator doors open and Prabhnoor and Devanshi spill out, breathless.

The man rushes after them, shouting.

Man: “Give me my phone back! You have no right—”

Before he finishes, Prabhnoor spins around, fury blazing.

She said,"You want your phone right? Here—take this!”

She kicks him hard in the shin, making him stumble backward with a grunt.

Devanshi gasps, half terrified, half relieved.

Prabhnoor tries unlocking the man’s phone—fingers trembling but determined.

She said, “Let’s get the proof before he hides it—”

Suddenly the man lunges forward, snatching the phone from her grip.

Man (panting, furious): “You stupid girls! I’ll report you for theft!”

He turns to run.

But he doesn’t get two steps.

A sharp voice slices through the corridor:

“STOP. RIGHT. THERE.”

The man freezes.

From the stairway, a tall boy in a black sherwani comes sprinting toward them—anger burning in his eyes. Behind him, three bodyguards thunder down the hall.

Devanshi whispers, shocked,“Bhaiya…?”

Her brother, Veer Pratap Singh, doesn’t even look at her yet—his gaze locked like steel on the man.

The bodyguards reach first, grabbing the man’s arms and pinning him easily. The phone drops from his hand and clatters to the floor.

Man (struggling): “H-hey! Let me go! Who are you people?!”

Veer steps close, voice dangerously calm," someone who doesn’t forgive men like you.”

Devanshi rushes to him, eyes wet,“Bhaiya… he— he clicked—”

Veer puts a protective hand on her head, “Don't cry Vanshu, I’m here now.”

Prabhnoor folds her arms, glaring at the man, “He thought we’d run. Lucky for him we only ran toward help.”

Veer smirks coldly.

He spoke in a cold tone,“Congratulations. You just earned a personal escort… straight to the basement of the king of Rajasthan."

The man whimpers as the bodyguards tighten their grip.

He tried to protest,“Wait—please—listen— I didn’t—”

But before he could complete, Veer spoke,“Save it. The phone will speak.”

He turns to Prabhnoor.

“Thank you. For protecting my sister when I wasn’t there.”

Prabhnoor nods.

“Always.”

The bodyguards drag the man away.

Devanshi came towards Prabhnoor and said," Thank you di, for helping me, by the way, I am Devanshi Pratap Singh and he is my brother Veer Pratap Singh."

Prabhnoor nodded and said," Oh so you are from the royal family of Rajasthan, nice to meet you, and I am Prabhnoor Kaur Khaira".

Devanshi shaked hand with her and nodded," Yeah, we are here for a wedding, are you also a guest here?"

Prabhnoor shook her head and said," No, I am not here for wedding, actually,  I am here on a solo trip to freshen up my mind."

Devanshi nodded her head and said," oh! okay".

" Okay then, I should leave now, see you soon" Prabhnoor wave her hand and went from there.

She decide to spend her entire day in a nearby library.

ON THE OTHER SIDE:--

A man in a crisp black suit was sitting on the head chair of the meeting room. His entire focus was on the presentation.

The conference hall was full of pindrop silence when a his phone buzzed with a notification," A man is dragged in the basement for trying to harras Rajkumari Devanshi Pratap Singh, he was clicking her pictures without her knowledge and consent. Yuvraj Veer sent him here and asked to inform you."

The message was from the head of the bodyguards.

His eyes immediately darkened after reading the message. He stood up from his seat, followed y all his employees. But a man didn't stood up, he asked calmly," What happened Mr, Singh?"

Adhrit Pratap Singh replied while closing his coat button," Sorry Mr. Khanna, urgent work, need to postpone it."

Mr. Khanna gritted his teeth and said," Mr. Singh, we were expecting you to sign today. If this deal gets postponed, the loss will be yours, not ours."

Adhrit pauses.

He smirked ---  Royal, unbothered.

He said," loss.....mine? That's an interesting assumption".

Mr. Khanna shifts uncomfortably.

He continued," Deals are important to people, who are desperate for them, which I am not. The desire for the collaboration came from your side, not mine."

Mr. Khanna replied in a lower voice," But.... but this deal was important--"

Before he could complete, Adhrit cut him off and said in a cold and clean voice," Important for you, for me, this was just a meeting, I attended out of politeness."

He reached the door and before going out  he said in a cold tone," Also, next time you walk in with a collaboration offer, try bringing something original. Your entire presentation looks like a cheap remix of someone else's work....and I don't invest in duplicates."

With that he got out of the meeting room leaving a furious Mr. Khanna.

He got in the elevator and pressed the ground floor button. He got down with his secretary, Rishabh.

All the employees greeted him but instead of replying, he ignored each and every employee including Rishabh. His driver was waiting outside the company gate with his car. He got in and told Rishabh," I am going to the basement, take care of everything here. I will go to the wedding directly from basement. Call me if you have very urgent matter only. And also reah on time in the wedding. You should be there before me."

Rishabh nodded and Adhrit left for the basement. He was fuming in anger. He quickly dialled Devanshi. She picked up on third ring. But before she could say anything, Adhrit spoke," How are you Vanshi? Are youu okay? And who was that bastard? Do you know him? Where were your bodyguards?"

Devanshi sighed and said," Calm down bhai, calm down, I am safe and fine. There was a beautiful di, who helped me and caught him. And Veer bhai also came there on time. And about bodyguards, I sent them away."

Adhrit sighed and said," Thank god! By the way who was that girl? Did you thanked her?"

Devanshi smiled and said," Bhai, let me tell you, she is so cute and yess I thanked her. Bhai maa is calling me, I have to go. And yes, reach on time and I will make sure you meet her. Bye

Adhrit replied with a okay and cut the call.

After 30 minutes he reached the warehouse. He got out of the car and went inside the warehouse.

The bodyguards were standing in line at each and every corner inside and outside the warehouse with guns in their hands. They all bow down when Adhrit came. He just nodded and went inside with the head of the security. They went inside a room.

The basement’s air felt heavier than stone, suffocating the boy tied to the metal chair.

His phone lay smashed on the table beside him, its screen dark, silent — the last witness of his stupidity.

Footsteps echoed down the stairs, slow and too controlled.

The boy froze.

The king appeared — tall, composed, wearing an expression that was almost calm.

Almost.

He didn’t shout.

That made it worse.

He stopped in front of the boy, hands clasped behind his back like he was inspecting something beneath him.

Adhrit started,“You must have felt very clever.

Hiding in shadows…"

The boy’s throat tightened.

“Your Majesty, I—I wasn’t going to post them—”

He smirked,“You weren’t going to post them?”

He stepped closer.

“You clicked them.

That’s already a death wish.”

He circled the chair, slow enough that the boy could hear the weight of each footstep.

“Tell me… when you zoomed in… did you feel powerful?

Did you feel untouchable?”

The boy’s breath shook.

“I made a mistake—”

But before he could complete, Adhrit nearly screamed,“Mistake?”

He laughed softly.

“No. Dropping a mug is a mistake.

Forgetting someone’s name is a mistake.”

He leaned down, lips near the boy’s ear.

“What you did was violation.”

He pulled away, eyes dark with a fury so quiet it felt poisonous.

He dragged a chair and sat directly in front of the boy, crossing his legs, looking more like a king conducting a meeting than a man ready to destroy someone.

He continued,

“I should break your neck for this.”

He held up the shattered phone.

“Do you know why I haven’t?”

The boy shook violently, unable to answer.

He answered softly but terrifying,

“Because punishment is not the goal.”

He leaned back.

“Fear… is.”

He placed the broken phone on the boy’s lap.

He said,“Look at it.”

The boy looked down, trembling.

Adhrit continued,

“That device… was your bravery.

Your shield.

Your little secret weapon against a princess.”

He slowly removed his gloves.

“But now it’s just a reminder.

Of how easily I can destroy every illusion you have.”

He stood, towering over him,“You captured her without her permission.”

His voice hardened, sharp as a blade.

“That makes you dangerous.

And men like you don’t get forgiven.”

The boy broke down completely.

“Your Majesty, please… spare me—”

The king tilted his head, studying him like a specimen.

He spoke calmly cruel,

“Spare you?

No.”

He stepped aside,“I’m not killing you today.”

The boy looked up, confused.

“Death ends fear.

I’m keeping you alive so you feel it… every day… every time you hear footsteps behind you… every time a door creaks…”

He pointed at the shadows in the corner of the basement.

“Because you’ll spend the rest of your life wondering if I sent someone. Or if I’m coming myself.”

The boy whimpered.

Adhrit walked toward the stairs, pausing on the first step.

He finished without turning around,

“You violated a princess’s privacy. Now your life has none.”

He glanced back, his eyes gleaming with royal cruelty.

“Remember that you’re breathing only because I want you uncomfortable, not dead.”

The door slammed shut behind him, leaving the boy trapped with nothing but fear — a more effective torture than anything physical.
